PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana) comes under the scheme of “Skill India” which was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 15th July 2015. The PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana Scheme) was launched to help the youth in India to specialize in different skills. This scheme aims to provide aptitude to the Indian youth towards major skills and raise the standard of working and the efficiency to complete the job. The enrolled students are motivated by giving monetary rewards to increase them and providing them with quality training. The scheme also intends to increase the employment rate from 4.9% in 2014. India has the largest number of youth, and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana Scheme will benefit them and make them the most employable and with better skill sets by the year 2022. PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana) has been rigorously implemented in states like Bihar to make the X/XII dropouts skilled and employable.

The coaching are going to be control at numerous coaching locations as well as CSCs,, NIELIT Centres, RSETI, NGOs concerned in IT attainment, etc.

A detailed implementation set up is as below:

  • Household survey
  • Eligible households known
  • Each social unit to nominate one person from the family
  • Nominated person to be registered within the nearest NDLM coaching Centre with their Aadhaar (UIDAI) card
  • Unique Username and parole to be provided to the beneficiary
  • Learners to review the self learning e-modules through the LMS
  • Continuous assessment at the top of every module attending on a daily-basis
  • On fulfilling the minimum variety of learning hours and triple-crown completion of assessment, the learners are going to be eligible to look for national level examination.

The Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) or National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) Scheme has been formulated to impart IT training to 52.5 lakh persons, including Anganwadi and ASHA workers and authorised ration dealers in all the States/UTs across the country so that the non-IT literate citizens are trained to become IT literate so as to enable them to actively and effectively participate in the democratic and developmental process and also enhance their livelihood.

Altogether 52.5 lakh persons, including Anganwadi and ASHA workers and authorised ration dealers will be trained under the programme in two phases. In the first phase, 10 lakh beneficiaries will be trained under the scheme. Nine lakh beneficiaries will be eligible for training fee support from the government. The rest 100,000 beneficiaries will be trained by the industry and civil society partners.
